Video on how to Best slice our sourdough?

The story begins with owner Josée, who brought more than 20 years of business experience and a deep love of baking to The Bread Essentials. After learning bread making from bakers in Montreal, she connected with a French baker and eventually brought their bakery business to West Toronto. Her journey took a personal turn when Josée discovered she had developed a gluten allergy in her forties. Unable to find high-quality, delicious gluten-free bakery products, she began developing her own recipes. In 2019, after two and a half years of balancing gluten-free and regular baking, Josée made the decision to transition the bakery entirely to gluten-free and nut-free production. The Bread Essentials became fully Gluten Free and Nut Free on July 30, 2019, and received Gluten-Free Certification from the Canadian Celiac Association that October. Today, we’re proud to serve as a trusted destination for delicious GF and NF foods, ingredients, tools, and baking essentials.
